Verdict

On The Blind Side is thrown in at the deep end on his chasing bow but he’s held in high regard and should win plenty of races, whatever his fate today, though was beaten fair and square by BLACK OP and Lostintranslation in a Grade 1 hurdle at Aintree last April. Tom George’s novice was hesitant on his first run over fences at Exeter behind a race-fit Defi Du Seuil but the second in that race was just beaten in the Kauto Star at Kempton last week so the form looks solid and the eight-year-old, 3lb better off with the winner, will know more today and ran a cracker in the Ballymore here last March. Lostintranslation comes into calculations on his runs behind La Bague Au Roi this season but this may be beyond Uttoxeter winner Crucial Role.
