Verdict
Scotch Corner let the form of Monte Vista down at Newcastle on Friday so Jonjo O'Neill's gelding is opposed here with Savannah Bay, who is preferred to Stage By Stage. The last mentioned has a progressive profile but may ideally want further to show his best form. Brewster was highly tried behind the useful Knowhere on his reappearance and should strip fitter for the outing. He holds more solid claims than Moorlands Again, who ran well at the last meeting here but is more exposed than most of these. Czech raider Polarnik is interesting on his British debut along with Irish runner Domnul Admiral, who is on a four timer, but the vote goes to Savannah Bay. The Philip Hobbs-trained gelding was a useful stayer on the flat and, not surprisingly, he found two miles on the short side on his hurdling debut. The longer trip here will suit the five-year-old who gets the nod.
