In depth
Verdict
This looks a decent bumper with the likes of Manners, Django and The Mick Weston all taking part but the vote goes to Bob Bob Bobbin. The selection lost no caste in defeat in decent company in two starts last term and duly opened his account on his return at Chepstow. That run should have put Colin Tizzard's gelding spot on for this and he is taken to follow up before going hurdling. Jonjo O'Neill's Manners made a winning debut at Haydock a year ago but has been off since then and may be best watched today and of more interest may be Jessica Harrington's Punchestown winner Django. The Mick Weston stepped up on his debut effort when scoring over course and distance at the last meeting here and the stable of Richard Phillips continues in good form. He makes more appeal than the once raced Prestbury Knight from the stable of Nigel Twiston-Davies. Hereford winner Dreams Jewel and Irish raiders Etched In Stone and Royal Mount Loftus are others to consider but Bob Bob Bobbin has some decent form to his name and is taken to give Colin Tizzard another winner at the Open meeting.
