Verdict
Paul Nicholls has spoken highly of Sam Winner in the build-up to the current campaign but he faces quite a task on this ground first time up under topweight, especially as the best of his form has been delivered on better ground. A good run is anticipated all the same. Cape Tribulation is talented at his best but the jury is currently out whilst The Druids Nephew represents the Mulholland and Geraghty combination and attempts to gain compensation for the controversial disqualification of The Young Master during the week. He's not without a chance of doing so either. David Pipe interestingly stays down the handicap route with Gevrey Chambertin despite an inauspicious performance last time but we'll go with the other Pipe contender in THE PACKAGE. He's 12 in just over a month but if he can reproduce the level of his third behind Gold Cup fancy Holywell at this year's Festival in an otherwise modest campaign, he'll give these something to think about. Saint Are, representing the in-form Tom George, is extremely well weighted if he can somehow rediscover the best of his form.
