Verdict

The mare Snow Leopardess showed herself to be a strong stayer when getting up close home over an extended 3m1f at Haydock in November and she was then just touched off in the Grade 3 Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby. A Grade 1-winning hurdler, Next Destination is 2-2 over fences but Paul Nicholls has tried and failed 18 times to win this. REMASTERED (NAP) did well to outstay Demachine in the Reynoldstown at Ascot. His yard is in good form and will be tough to pass if allowed to dictate matters here given he already looks a much better chaser than hurdler. Galvin beat Soldier Of Love seven lengths here in October and will handle this slightly quicker surface better than most but he’s switched stables and it remains to be seen if he’ll last home over another 5f. Escaria Ten looks a stronger stayer and is also preferred to Lord Royal, who is still a six-year-old and could find some of these more streetwise.
