Verdict

Another competitive contest ends proceedings and although Hot Diamond and Dantari have strong claims we'll chance our luck with Emma Lavelle's SUNTINI. The gelding took advantage of a low mark on handicap debut to over distance at Exeter in a similar race. That was followed by a couple off decent efforts of increasingly high marks, including grabbing a place off his current rating last time out, and another big run is expected off these terms. Hot Diamond ran a good race under this same burden last time out in a hot looking race where the form will no doubt prove strong and he left his maiden tag behind in fine style on his penultimate effort, although he didn't have much to beat. Under a jockey with a burgeon reputation he should go well. Dantari has looked progressive in his last two starts scoring on both occasions the latest under a penalty. He's up eight pounds for his last success but has suggested that won't be a problem and he¿s unexposed so should improve further. Maraafeq and Rockiteer should also be involved based on their recent form but in a competitive race Suntini has the call.
