Verdict
Fusil Raffles wasn’t totally convincing at Uttoxeter but got the job done in the end and he will have learned plenty from that. GETAWAY TRUMP had a higher rating over hurdles, however, and made amends for a less-than-fluent debut over the larger obstacles when getting the better of Tuesday’s Exeter winner Zoffee at Warwick. Return Ticket finally got off the mark over fences when beating two rivals at Sedgefield but will struggle to run the finish out of two potentially-smart novices here. Sir Valentine was a decent hurdler but is pitched in at the deep end on his fencing bow.
