Not one favourite has won this in the nine years it's been run. Newholm makes his debut on Turf after showing very good speed on three different artificial surfaces so he shouldn't have much trouble handling the ground. Gen I Am led for a long way on her return to action at Kempton and that should have put an edge on her and Tamarin has been going well on Tapeta, though she's yet to get her head in front when it matters. REFLATION did best when a close second over this trip at Kempton in October after which he's been running over further, including a mile last time. He has plenty of early pace and looks another winner for the Hannon yard. Pixeleen can't have been right when a long way last on her reappearance as she had enough form last season to be given a chance.
