In depth
Verdict
The David Evans team continue in good form and they can pick up again here with Adalar, who is selected in preference to his stablemat Zarfasha and Archerfield. That said, it would also be dangerous to completely rule out Craic Sa Ceilli, who has taken time to get going this term but is better than her form figures would suggest. The ease in the ground will play to her strengths and Malcom Sanders' charge could be a live danger for at least a place if she is on song today. Archerfield does not have as many miles on the clock as most and appears to be knocking on the door at the moment. He has fair claims at the weights and is definite short list material. So too is Zarfasha, who has gone well here in the past. However, his record of one win from twenty-six previous starts on turf tells its own story and he is also passed over for win only purposes. Which brings us back to Adalar, who is far less exposed and, as he arrives here on the back of string of good efforts, he is the percentage call in a tricky race to fathom.
