Cases can be made for a number of these but as Stolen Hours has shaped as if he has not stopped improving yet, he gets the nod over Fortune Point and Magic Sting, who stand out as dangers on recent form. Mambina is another that arrives here in good heart and, as she has really started to prove herself capable at the trip, she too is short listed as a live danger. Magic Sting is another that finds 10 furlongs to be an ideal distance and is far less exposed than a number of the rest. However, this course can put excessive demands on a contenders stamina so it may be prudent to look at horses that have proved that they can cope with the severely undulating nature of the track. Fortune Point, for one, will have no trouble with the surface and can give them all plenty to think about. However, he can be frustratingly short of the mark in a finish and is taken on with Stolen Hours today. Having run well at Epsom in the past, John Akehurst's charge should cope with the surface and makes plenty of appeal on a going description that holds no fears for him. Stolen Hours also arrives here with a much more appealing recent profile than any of the rest and he can make the most of this ease in grade if he runs his usual race this afternoon.
