Verdict
Just an average staying chase to finish with and both Berlin Blue and General Claremont having plenty to prove having failed to complete in two of their last three outings. Stormhill Stag comes here in decent nick and Richard Lee has his small string in good form. Stormhill Stag is relatively straightforward, has gone well here in the past, handles the ground and gets the vote. Dirk Cove was all out to win at Fontwell and looks to have been given a fine chance off only a 2lbs higher mark. He has a nice light weight and looks sure to make his presence felt. Others to consider include Romantic Hero, who galloped his rivals into submission here back in March and isn't necessarily out of it off a 9lbs higher mark and Our Jolly Swagman, who improved for the first time visor at Newton Abbot and if the headgear has the same effect here, isn't out of it despite the hike in the weights.
