Verdict
Several of these are old rivals and this time Elidore makes the most appeal at the weights, while Fabrain and The Gaikwar should not be too far away if they run up to their recent level of form. Retirement is also worth a look now that he has dropped to a reasonable mark and he has a fair chance of making the frame here. The Gaikwar had a frustrating time of things last month but remains in good heart. Even so, he has been running as if the handicapper is in charge at present and others may have his measure again. Fabrian picks up a 5lb extra for his course and distance win of nine days ago. He has more on his plate on these terms. Especially as he is 6lb wrong with the selection this time around. Which may be is just enough to swing the balance of favour towards Elidore in a very tricky race to fathom.
