Verdict

A poor contest to open the card and Sonnengold is a tentative suggestion here. John Llewellyn's mare enjoys getting her toe in and races over her optimum trip here. She is a bit of a one-pacer, but then so are the rest of this lot, her yard is going well with its few runners on the level this year, and in context she holds her form pretty well, so we'll side with her. Looktheotherway and Musango are both interesting with headgear applied. The former acts with cut but has a fair bit to find with the selection on a line through Hitsonlyvic, while the latter has just his second run for Timmy Vaughan, who may have found some improvement now. However, soft ground is against the gelding. Great View has won on the undulations here, acts on any ground, and is on a good mark here so he could prove to be a big danger, while Everyman acts with cut and comes from a yard that does well in this sphere, so is respected. Be careful with those wagers, but if you must play then Sonnengold is a tentative pick.
