Desert Sunset's experience wins her the vote ahead of interesting newcomer Alyarf. The selection has only raced on good to firm so far but conditions should be fast enough for her on the straight course this afternoon. She was very green on debut and well held having been hampered at the start but left that form behind when running well from a high draw at Pontefract last time. The winner wasn't disgraced in Listed company next time and that form entitles her to go close in this contest, particularly now that her stable are in better form. Barry Hills has yet to saddle a winner in July but he has had some run well in defeat and Alyarf is an interesting debutant. He's a half-brother to Tajdeef who was only beaten three quarters of a length into third in the Middle Park for this yard and support would make him of interest. Ruasgreyasme is another newcomer worthy of consideration whilst Party Cat, Hum Cat and Auld Arty have all shown ability and cannot be dismissed with improvement likely to be forthcoming. The selection, though, is Desert Sunset.
