Verdict

GAMBON has slipped back down the handicap since scoring over track and trip last year and a close-up third back at this venue last time suggests a return to winning ways is imminent. Doc Sportello also posted a better effort at Windsor last time but would prefer some cut in the ground while Princely won at Bath last week and can figure again with an apprentice’s allowance negating a penalty. Glenamoy Lad gets a change of headgear and looks best of the rest.
