      Verdict

A typically ordinary claimer where Mick Is Back looks the pick and gets the nod ahead of Colonel Cotton, Mannello and Savile's Delight. The selection is well weighted when considering official ratings and handles any ground, which is a big plus with rain forecast. This trip looks ideal and the gelding is in good form and can confirm that here. Colonel Cotton was not far away at Brighton over a mile last time. He has not won for four years now and needs fast ground, so if the rains come he is likely to extend that losing run. Mannello was flattered by the margin of defeat at Salisbury last time out but meets nothing of that calibre here and looks likely to put up a good performance, while Savile's Delight looks a frame possibility and last year's winner Full Spate is not out of it off a 6lb lower mark. However Mick Is Back is in good nick and can go in again.
