Verdict

Allegretto gets the confident vote in this maiden fillies' stakes with Kentucky Warbler and Nimra the main dangers. The selection was an eyecatcher here in a listed race last time when she came from a long way back to finish sixth behind Time On. She looked like one to stay on the right side of that day and she sets the standard for the rest tonight. Kentucky Warbler rates the main danger as Hugh Morrison's filly made a pleasing debut on soft ground at Goodwood when fourth behind Summer's Eve. She will come on for the run and is considered. Nimra is surely better than she has shown in her two runs so far so she is worth noting in the market, while Miss Trinidad is the other in with a shout. However, Allegretto did enough here last time to suggest that her turn would not be far away and she gets our vote.
