Verdict

TASTE THE WINE came home three lengths ahead of the runner-up when scoring over C&D at last week's meeting. An apprentice's claim negates the 6lb penalty and Bernard Llewellyn's charge gets the nod to follow up and confirm latest running with stable companion Bazart. Kittens steps up in distance and drops in class after a couple of placed efforts over 1m2f and should be thereabouts again but Delagoa Bay has struggled to get involved since scoring at Wolverhampton back in May.
