A consistent performer, Dollar Law deserves to win a race of this nature but may again have to settle for minor placings especially with Jahash in opposition. The Philip Hobbs-trained gelding is much better over hurdles than on the flat judged by his three runs over timber so far. Successful at Taunton on his debut, the son of Hernando has found just one too good in his two subsequent starts, most latterly when beaten one length by Keltic Bard at Cheltenham in January. A reproduction of that form, on ground that suits, should suffice for the five-year-old, who can give weight away all round. Perouse, a bumper winner for Len Lungo, makes his debut for trainer Paul Nicholls and is probably best watched following a 100-day absence. The remainder make very limited appeal.
