In depth

Verdict

LOCK'S CORNER (NAP) obviously benefited from wind surgery when comfortably landing a Huntingdon handicap and though stepping up in trip from 5lb higher looks the type to go higher in the ratings. Mere Anarchy didn't run very well on the Flat here when last seen in July and though reasonably consistent over timber a strike-rate of 1-17 doesn't inspire confidence. Fair Kate makes her handicap debut and has been placed twice around here though looks a bit high in the weights on what she's achieved. Champagne Chaser is better over further and 7lb higher than when scoring over 2m6f at Cartmel in July but Waiheke has dropped to such a lowly mark that he could run into a place as he was staying on over the minimum at Hereford.
