Verdict
Rye looks to hold the best credentials here and Jamie Osborne's filly can get the card off to a winning start. The selection gained notoriety when arriving late on the scene to deny the eased-down Ballinger Ridge over a mile at Lingfield in March, a result that earned Kieren Fallon a long suspension. Two subsequent runs at today's trip have been disappointing and, to be fair, there is no absolute guarantee that the trip does suit her. However, the opposition looks modest and she will rarely get a better chance. Of the others, Oktis Morilious's 10-furlong all-weather win at Lingfield equates to little more than plating class, while Comic Genius's best form has come in lowly sellers, but, overall, Rye gets the call.
