        Verdict

        The stipulations in structuring the weights for this race suggest that some of these will struggle to go on to better things in a higher grade from here but, opportunities can be created for these cheaply purchased horses now that races such as this exist in the calendar. Therefore, with the benefit of a fair effort from her debut at Lingfield behind her, Lateral Thinker appeals as the one to benefit the most from the way things may unfold this evening. Wizzkilad came up against some fairly useful types last time and, along with Turtle Magic, is worth monitoring for signs of support if the price on the selection proves to be too restrictive for a once-raced filly in such a large field. While support for any of Princely Vale, Lady Chef and Ice Ruby will also be interesting for each-way players. However, as high numbers have a slight advantage when the ground is on the soft side, Lateral Thinker looks to be ideally berthed in stall 16 and she will be difficult to overhaul if she translates the promise of her debut run to her first try on turf today.
