Verdict
A tricky race to get involved with but, as Nods Nephew is proven over this sort of trip, he is selected over Barton Sands, who may find this on the sharp side, and Heather's Girl, who in contrast has to conclusively prove this trip suits her style of running. Termofeckin is also worth considering if support arrives for him as he is still lightly raced and is unexposed over the distance. However, he lacks a change of gears and remains one to have reservations about even at this level. Therefore, it may pay to stick with Nods Nephew as he showed he still retains enough ability to cope with a campaign on the turf after a good effort at Beverley last time. Don Cantillon's charge has endured plenty of problems over the years and has always needed a fair amount of cut in the ground for him to give his best. Therefore, with conditions to suit Nod's Nephew is the safest option in a tough one to call despite the lack of numbers.
