In depth
Verdict
Zaffamore lines up in form and is the pick over some more lightly-weighted rivals, including Enzo de Baune and El Bandito. Henrietta Knight complicates matters slightly by also saddling Supreme Catch, but Zaffamore has plenty going for him and is the pick. The form of his Kempton win over Avalanche has been franked and his second to Iznogoud there was a decent effort considering that he had a bit too much to do. Zaffamore is back up in grade now after an expected success at Wincanton, but with Ei Ei very likely to set a decent pace, things should fall in his favour, as he can be produced late on the scene. He has had problems with his wind in the past but has been in good heart this year, and has won on soft in the past. Mondial Jack's time will come as he is only a five-year-old, but it would not surprise us if he were to take a hand. Enzo de Baune is progressive and the northern raider makes slightly more appeal than El Bandito who is another not out of it by any means. For the winner we return to Zaffamore.
