Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

GAMESTERS LADY is the one to beat if taking up this engagement, selected in preference to stablemate Norman Beckett and Mister Rossa. A well-backed winner on the flat in February, the selection has since made it three from three for the yard with wins at Plumpton and Hereford. A 7lb penalty won't be enough to stop this well-handicapped runner if in the same form and she is expected to take all the beating. Any market move for stablemate Norman Beckett would have to be taken seriously. He has not been in great form of late and the handicapper has been slow to react, however he is well-treated on his old form. Mista Rossa has some good form, both on the flat and over hurdles, on soft ground and is therefore considered with first-time cheek-pieces on, whilst Ana Buachaill Dana represents a yard that have done well in a short career to date. Fair Shake is edging down the weights, whilst Jo Joe's Lot has been big prices so far but the market may be interesting on this first run in handicap company with Richard Johnson booked for the ride. Gamesters Lady looks the one to beat.
