Winning pointer Aaron's Run showed only of modicum of ability in bumpers previously and he may be best watched on his return to rules racing with a safer bet looking to be Nakai, with Matmogul rated the pick of the remainder. The selection is another that has shown winning point-to-point form but the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding has also shown a decent level of form in a bumper in Ireland so he looks an interesting recruit and is marginally preferred. Stable companion Simply Smart also has winning point-to-point form but lacks any experience of racing under rules, while Charlie Mann's Gaora Lane has shown only modest form in points and looks best watched on his rules debut. A market move for Carl Llewellyn's Folkestone bumper winner King of The Jungle would be of interest, while it will be interesting to see how the market shapes up for the newcomer Matmogul considering the current good form of the Twiston-Davies yard. This is not a contest that one can be confident about the outcome of but Nakai has more solid claims than most and he is preferred.
