Verdict
This wouldn’t be a particularly strong novices’ hurdle and Uttoxeter runner-up Ballydisco is improving with experience. Half Dozen caught the eye staying on into third at Newbury but may benefit from a step up in trip. Governor Green was behind when OUT OF OFFICE finished fourth here last month in a race which is working out well. Evan Williams’ gelding, a half-brother to two winners, will know more today. Stratford winner Gitche Gumee failed to cope with a penalty when only fourth at Warwick but the fifth that day has won since.
