In depth

Verdict

In Dreams, Blue Splash and Harry Blade catch the eye here, with In Dreams getting the vote. Blue Splash won over a similar trip at Aintree a year ago, and he then turned his attention to fences, picking up a couple of races. He makes his seasonal reappearance here but he is a very consistent type who can play a leading role here-his stable had a winner at Ludlow on Monday. Harry Blade has won twice and finished second on his other three outings. All his runs have come in novice company however, and he has an absence of two years to overcome. Despite landing the odds in convincing style last time, In Dreams does not look badly treated here. That win was in novice company, but he had earlier finished a good second in novice handicap company off only a five pound lower mark. He steps up to full handicap grade here for the first time, but In Dreams has fitness on his side and can score.
