Verdict

Top The Charts has proven to be expensive to follow but looks to have been found a decent opportunity to open his account and is finally taken to do so at the main expense of Bentley Brook and Heart Stopping. The last mentioned is less exposed than her two main rivals and should be suited by today's faster ground; however, the Barry Hills-trained filly needs to improve to trouble the selection and Top The Charts looks a safer option. Richard Hannon's gelding ran up to his juvenile form when third over this trip behind Tarraman at Doncaster in March and a reproduction of that effort may suffice. Walter Swinburn's horses have been running into form of late so his two representatives, Cool Hunter and Rock Have, have to be respected along with Roger Charlton's Drive Me Wild, who is probably better than he showed first time out. A bigger threat is likely to come from Paul Blockley's Bentley Brook, who has only once been out of the frame in five starts. He has to be respected but Top The Charts has an obvious chance and gets the vote.
