In depth
Verdict
A cracking contest may go to Definite Guest, with True Night, Everest and Digital just three live dangers. Richard Fahey has his team in tip-top form at present, with Lady Bear emphasising that fact at Goodwood on Friday, and the in-form Definite Guest, with Paul Hanagan in the saddle, lines up back over a more suitable trip after failing to last home at Goodwood five days ago. Prior to that he had scored well at both York and Newbury, on the latter occasion holding Everest by a neck, and although three pounds worse off with that rival here, is such a progressive sort that he should maintain the form. True Night nearly prevailed at Goodwood when a very close fourth to Finished Article and must surely win before the season is over, while Digital is yet another who comes here after running at the Sussex track where he failed to quicken when second to the highly rated Alkaadhem. Uhomagoo had both True Night and Dayglow dancer behind when successful at Ayr a couple of weeks ago and is another to enter the equation. It is a really hard one to call, but Definite Guest should go close over this more suitable trip and is the selection.
