Verdict
Six of the last eight renewals have been won by a Ballydoyle representative and Ontario steps up from 7f after placing in Listed company at Newmarket. But YIBIR was beaten less than a length over a similar distance to this in the Sandown Classic Trial last month and Charlie Appleby’s colt can improve further with headgear applied today. Maximal found only one too good over 1m2f at Newbury and returns to Pattern company while El Drama is another upped in distance having come up short over a mile at Kempton. Newbury maiden winner Foxes Tales is preferred to Earlswood and Luther Cee of the remainder.
