El Astronaute won this last year when making all from the inside berth. He made an excellent comeback at Pontefract but he's in stall 9 this time and 8lb higher than a year ago. Confessional likes it around here but, along with the in-form Gracious John, is on the wide outside. A Momentofmadness was a long way behind the latter at Newbury last time though that wasn't his form and he's ideally placed this time. Doctor Sardonicus has been in fine form on the all-weather and has no problems racing on Turf so he can go well and his stable companion Reflektor won here on ground with some give in July. POWERALLIED had El Astronaute just over a length away when scoring here in July. He's slightly worse off at the weights and making his reappearance but is much better drawn and likely to be ready to run so gets the nod.
