Always a competitive contest with many chances including a pair of useful three-year-olds. However, Shabaaby has yet to tackle this trip whereas ARBALET (NAP) performed commendably at Royal Ascot when fifth in the Jersey Stakes and this appears his ideal trip. He's well drawn to gain a good early position and may have too much class for this field. Kimberella, a tough as nails sprinter, could find 7f too taxing at this level and Oh This Is Us rates the main danger. The Hannon inmate is a solid, reliable performer in this class and looks best of the older brigade. Lake Volta, drawn perfectly for Franny Norton to exhibit his expertise around here, also makes the shortlist.
