In depth
Verdict
Saffie Osborne gets the leg-up on her father’s in-form Hot Scoop but her mount has drawn the outside berth and this can be a tricky track to ride. Cuban Breeze made all over 5f here at the start of the week but might struggle to hang on over this extra furlong under a penalty. Sands Of Time takes a big drop in class but has been a bit disappointing since winning her maiden at Lingfield but Bergerac has been getting closer and London Palladium makes his handicap debut. Merry Secret is no forlorn hope but GUMDROP could be the value in a competitive nursery as he’s shown promise in a couple of auction events at York without being given a hard time.
