      Verdict

      In a modest maiden, Durova is selected ahead of Miss Capricorn and Wicked Wilma. Second to Valley Of The Moon last time after having shown promise behind a fair type on her debut, Durova's form looks the best of that on offer here and, accordingly, she gets the vote. A 20,000 guineas daughter of Forzando, Miss Capricorn has plenty of speed in her pedigree and would not have to be out of the ordinary to land this maiden heat. Wicked Wilma caught the eye staying on late at Carlisle on her debut, which has to rate as promising, while Gold Spirit has also shown some promise. Of the others, Daruma's best effort to date has come in a seller which, in turn, returns us to the selection, Durova.
