    Verdict

In the Lady Riders' opener, Arctic Desert is selected ahead of Scuba and Patavium Prince. With his stable in such good form, Arctic Desert, who might respond to a quiet ride, has to be high on the list of possibles given that he has form enough from his rating to go well, while Scuba looked good when winning last time and, with his rider having impressed lately in this sphere, he can go well, although his lack of Turf form is a concern. There is no doubt that The Crooked Ring is on a mark that can show him in a good light, and this is his trip, while the relatively lightly-raced Patavium Prince has been knocking at the door of late and is another to consider in this amateur event. Sentiero Rosso looked to be coming to hand last time and, if so, is well weighted based on last summer's form, while Mozakhraf ran well under a positive ride last time, is reasonably fairly treated and is another to apply some thought to. Overall, though, we will stick with Arctic Desert.
