Verdict

WAKING WARRIOR has got the number one box and wasn't beaten that far by the winner at Ascot last time, despite finishing nearer last than first. He also ran with credit behind Noodles Blue Boy the time before in a large-field sprint at Thirsk and can take advantage of what appears an easier opening. Crew Cut's consistency should see him play a part at this level, while Legal Eagle showed a little more dash last time behind Almaty Express at Wolverhampton. Green Park's best days are behind him but he didn't go too badly in selling grade last time and a similar run would put him in the mix along with Whipphound and Absa Lutte.
