There is rarely a meeting goes by on the Roodee without Dr Marwen Koukash’s colours making an appearance in the winner’s enclosure. He is mob-handed in this and all four of his runners have won on the track before. GABRIAL THE TIGER has the pick of the draw and bravely held off stablemate Gabrial The Devil over course and distance two weeks ago – he is only a pound worse off. Humble Gratitude has it all to do from stall 14 but Penwortham has been running a bit better than recent results would suggest. Calder Prince will struggle to get to the front from his high draw but another front-runner, Arcanada, has a nice starting position and should prove the pick of Tom Dascombe’s trio. Rum Runner and Tangled could be interesting at bigger prices.
