Verdict

It’s easy to put a line through several who look to have little chance at the weights in this. Notwhatiam has won over hurdles and fences but is having a first run for new connections and making his debut on the Flat and the age of nine. Mr Carpenter has the highest official rating but has shown his best form on the all-weather so far. Toronado Queen shouldn’t be far away given she ran well under a penalty at Chelmsford after making a winning start at Catterick while Society Guest has placed in six of her 11 career starts. JAMES PARK WOODS has been a beaten favourite the last twice but is given one final chance to get his head in front reverting to novice company
