Verdict
An ordinary claimer and Stealthelimelight should be good enough to concede weight all-round; with Dress Pearl, who has the best of the draw, and Mac The Knife expected to give the selection the most to do. Stealthelimelight has run with plenty of credit since losing his maiden tag at Brighton earlier in the season and was gaining a well deserved success when scoring at Catterick last time. The Royal Applause colt also run well over course and distance in his previous outing, which bodes well for this return to the Roodeye against lesser opposition. Dress Pearl has hinted at possessing ability and should find a modest race in time, but she has looked to be a weak finisher and may find herself swamped close home. Mac The Knife returns to a more realistic level after his down the field run in the Wetherbys Super Sprint and has to be considered as a big threat. But his earlier efforts have already proved that he is vulnerable to something with a turn of foot and Stealthelimelight fits that bill today. Market confidence in Shanghai Surprise will be interesting but in the absence of any previous form the Komaite colt is one to watch this time around.
