Verdict
The Gerard Butler-trained Manama Rose is the obvious one here and the daughter of Kris will take plenty of beating if she runs anywhere near her current rating. Crystal Theatre and Pantita are less exposed rivals who can fight it out for the forecast slot - while Dombeya is one to watch out for with an eye to the future. Classic Quartet is already looking exposed so it may be best to side with the official assessor for the time being and agree that Manama Rose is the one to beat. The three-year-old, who was unraced as a juvenile, has improved with each outing this season and deserves a change of fortune after going close in her last two outings. She found a potentially smart newcomer from the John Gosden yard just too good last time at Newbury but still ran with credit once she knuckled down to the task in hand. This looks to be a more straightforward opening for her and she can finally lose her maiden tag at the sixth time of asking. Pantita is also going the right way but may fare better in handicaps in future.
