        Verdict

        In the finale, Bavarica is selected ahead of Acuzio and Agilete. Just beaten under today's rider at Pontefract last time out from a two-pounds lower mark, Bavarica looks to be one to consider here. Set to rise nine pounds in future ratings based on his very good course and distance run last time, the chance of Acuzio is there for all to see. The trouble is, he will probably travel well, but what will he find when push comes to shove? Agilete has been running well from around today's mark of late and is another that has to enter calculations. Hugs Destiny, who will probably be at home at this venue, and Penang Cinta, will need career-best efforts if they are going to score, although they cannot be ruled out of good runs. Finally, Daryal has proven himself to be a smart hurdler but he lacks a recent run. Maybe the market will tell a different story, and, with the bottom pair racing from out of the weights, we return to the selection, which is Bavarica.
