In depth

Verdict

SHATTERED LOVE, a Grade 3 winning hurdler, was found an easy opportunity on her chasing debut at Fairyhouse but couldn't have done it any better, disputing the lead throughout before going well clear. This is a stiffer test but it will be a surprise if she's beaten. Miss Eyecatcher is proving a real money-spinner for her small yard and, after a very promising debut over fences at Killarney, has gained easy victories at Listowel and Tipperary. She has to concede weight to the selection which may be just beyond her though looks certain to give a good account. Goulane Davina gained a course and distance victory on heavy ground in February and will be winning again soon though she was receiving a stone from Head Turner when beaten a neck over hurdles at Limerick in December and the winner is an interesting recruit to fences. Any further rain would suit Knockraha Pylon.
