Headford Flyer started favourite for what looked a slightly better race than this at Thurles on Tuesday but could only keep going at one pace. Resolute Bay had a short-head to spare over Schinkel over hurdles at Ballinrobe last May and has the advantage of chasing experience. He likes fast ground and should go well while Clicksnmortar, another who will enjoy the quicker conditions, is a real chasing type and likely to improve on what he's shown so far. Forjoetheplumber has been very consistent over fences and looks certain to be in the shake-up but it's the mare MAGDOODLE who is handed the vote as she looked a progressive type on good ground in the autumn and hasn't done badly in much softer conditions over fences recently.
