In depth

Verdict

Arvico Bleu has now had 13 starts over fences without winning but couldn't have gone any closer at Ballinrobe last month, failing by a short-head. DIS DONC has had just one less run over the bigger obstacles but appeared to find 2m3f stretching his stamina at Down Royal after being headed close home by Star Max over this trip at Fairyhouse. The lightly-raced Galloway Du Lia may be capable of better though winning hurdler The Cathal Don looks more of a threat despite a bad mistake two out in a novices' hurdle on this track last month. The latter's stablemate Eagle Moon is a lightly-raced type with plenty of scope while the likes of Fine Brunello and Druid's Altar can also make their presence felt.
