In depth

Verdict

MONSTROSITY couldn't handle Gallahers Cross on his reappearance at Galway but the winner is well regarded and Noel Meade's charge can go one better. Allardyce reverts to a bumper after a promising debut over hurdles at Galway and his earlier performances put him right in the picture again. Warlike Intent started a short-priced favourite in a point at Inch in March last year and has joined Gordon Elliott while winning point-to-pointer Flirting Lesa showed some potential over the track and trip in May.
