In depth

Verdict

Barry Connell has proved an adept placer of his charges and this looks a decent opportunity for L'YSER to add to his tally of two wins from six hurdling starts. He's been hit with a 9lb rise for a neck success at Fairyhouse last time, but looks the sort who will improve again and the excellent Michael O'Sullivan claims a valuable 5lb. Spillane's Tower is an interesting opponent, plunged straight into handicap company after just three maiden starts. He looked promising last time when obliging at Naas and this will tell us more about him. Lucky Max is one to note as the top weight usually runs his race and Corey McGivern's claim should prove a real plus. West Cork Wildway and Heliko Conti are also possibles.
