In depth

Verdict

It's about time TARAVAL was losing her maiden tag and this looks a good opportunity. She's been a little disappointing since her opening runs over timber but had today's rival Lastofthepilots behind when fourth behind Sheer Genius last time and the winner has a good chance in the preceding handicap. Mallowney showed nothing in his first two races but produced a much better effort at Punchestown last month and is likely to make further progress but Sandeel Bay has been struggling on the heavy going. Hasty Times looks a threat as he ran very well over 2m here in December and may have needed the run when a decent third behind Double Double at Gowran a couple of weeks ago.
