Verdict

Last year's Irish Derby winner Latrobe has been steadily making his way back and won a Leopardstown Group 3 last time after just being held by Twilight Payment over the track and trip. Aidan O'Brien has four entries and Ryan Moore sticks with KEW GARDENS (NAP), last year's Doncaster St Leger winner. He hasn't been seen since the Coronation Cup but looks to have been trained with this in mind and easily beat stable companion Southern France on Town Moor, though Cross Counter is an obvious threat. The Melbourne Cup and Dubai Gold Cup winner has seen the back of Stradivarius in Cup races the last twice but a likely strong gallop will play to his strengths.
