Verdict

SIR DRAGONET is clear of the rest on today’s terms. The Chester Vase winner has been rested since beaten less than a length when favourite for the Derby and this should set him up nicely for tougher tasks in the remainder of the season. Guaranteed found Latrobe, trained by Joseph O’Brien, too good at Leopardstown last time and the latter runs Buckhurst, who landed a Group 3 over track and trip in June. Leo De Fury came up short in the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood at the start of the month but Shelir hasn’t raced since struggling in the Irish Guineas in May and steps up in trip for this. Nickajack Cave and Zabriskie look up against it at the weights.
